Jimboco! - What I Do and Why


I'll answer the second part first: it's a living. But I love it, too. Moving pictures, regardless of the medium, have the ability to move people: to make them laugh, to make them cry, and to make them scream out loud. Assembled in a creative way, moving pictures can even change minds. Who wouldn't love that power?

The best productions are truly a combination of all the arts, and of many skills. A winning program successfully integrates excellent production planning, research, script writing, graphic design, art direction, cinematography, on and off camera talent, editing and sound design.

It can get complicated. But it can be fun, and it's always rewarding.

Usually, I function as a writer/director, although my personal formula for success is to be involved in all aspects of a production, right from the first strategy session.
