Stanley Black & Decker

In the wake of their merger three years ago, finally moving into their new Distribution Center last summer was a huge milestone for Stanley Black & Decker. The consolidation of many processes means a better experience for their customers, and I put together an energetic "Meeting Opener" explaining how it all works. Slightly different versions were created for different audiences.

Bombardier TrackSafe

Spent a few days in Atlanta this week. The Safety Committee of the American Public Transportation Association convened for their semi-annual meeting, and a team from Bombardier demonstrated their TrackSafe system, which has been years in the making. Much of the videotaping was at track level, and in subway tunnels. A video showing how the whole thing operates is in the works. UPDATE: See it here.

National Road Show

I attended a couple of recent editions of the annual, internal, TD Bank Road Show, where head office types get out there and convey a consistent message to the masses. A  bunch of awards are also handed out, which adds to the fun. I love getting right in everyone's face (if allowed), which makes for an electric video.

TD Event

Interviewed a few execs, and created six modules for a key event.

Over the summer I worked on a series of videos for Mackenzie Financial. Street interviews with the public about their views on the current investment climate are then commented upon by fund managers. Modules introducing various investment choices were also produced.

More IBC

Working on a pair of videos detailing IT and Data services within the Insurance Bureau of Canada.

IBC: The Price is Wrong

The Insurance Bureau of Canada sponsored a half hour program for broadcast about issues facing the auto insurance industry. I was assigned the task of collecting street interviews in Windsor, Kingston and Scarborough, Ontario. I met a lot of passionate Canadians during my travels, and everyone seemed to have an opinion... which was good for me.

Fontaine Modification

I was invited down to North Carolina and Virginia to work on a corporate video for Fontaine Modification. Brand new work trucks enter their shop, and are customized to order by a team of innovative engineers and crafts people. See it here.

WICC Relay for Life

Over 1,000 people gathered in North York to participate in the Women In Insurance Cancer Crusade's annual Relay for Life. Many people walked, played and camped out all night -- all the while honouring friends and loved ones stricken with cancer. A fun, and moving, video is being put together. UPDATE: See it here.

Destined for the Web.

Clients, cast and crew pose for a picture after a green screen shoot in a studio this week. A new, enhanced on-line enrollment experience for John Hancock's pension customers is in the works.
