RFID Journal

At the beginning of May, I went down to Orlando to shoot "RFID Journal LIVE! 2007". A video was created to promote future conferences and appears on the organization's website, and is now also one of my case studies. Some footage from the video is to be included in a program about RFID scheduled to run on Maryland Public Television.

UPDATE: One kind viewer on the web went out of his way to contact my client directly and called it " of the best event videos I have ever seen produced... a great example of corporate storytelling."

Accessibility and Customer Service

Most recently, I've been working on a documentary style project for the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services. It's all about improving the level of customer service people with disabilities receive. The project featured in-depth interviews with people with a variety of disabilities. Five customized versions, targeting five different sectors of Ontario's economy, were produced and distributed on DVD.

CEO Found on Vacation!

Hard to explain. So, I won't.

TD Canada Trust Champions

For the last while, I've been working on a series of modules to honour some award winners at TD Canada Trust. I interviewed their bosses and we captured some fun shots of the winners - all in a lively session spread over two days. Here's what a single frame of it looked like after my editor and graphics guy got a hold of the footage...

"Your video on the huge screen looked gorgeous. Everyone raved about it... even the really big bosses. Thanks so really worked brilliantly."

In fact, 78% of the attendees who filled out questionnaires gave the videos five out of five... the highest score my client had ever seen.

Now, it's one of my case studies.

RFID Journal LIVE Canada

Just finished shooting the first ever "RFID Journal LIVE!" event in Canada. This will be my sixth video for a variety of clients within the blossoming RFID industry over the last four years - starting with a video of one of the first successful RFID demos at the Auto-ID Lab at MIT in Cambridge, Mass. In fact, at the conference, I met two instructors from L’Université de Sherbrooke who still show that video as part of their RFID course.

Dutch Tilt

A busy fall continues, as I just returned from Noordwijk, The Netherlands, which is about 40km from Amsterdam and overlooks The North Sea. The growth of "RFID Journal" continues as the leading RFID authority on the web staged a convention for their growing European audience. Earlier in the year I created a video promoting future conferences in North America... and I'll be doing the same for "RFID Journal LIVE Europe 2007" with this new footage. All of the videos are destined to be posted on the company's web site.

Back from Montreal

Shot and conducted about 50 sit-down interviews in a single day at a conference in Montreal, while my trusty editor worked feverishly in another room to digitize the footage and put it all together. What often takes a month or more, we swung in about 36 hours. All for a showing the next day. Yikes. The project was also shot on HDV.

Must Be The Silly Season

Don't ask.

Cognos Performance 2006

I've done a handful of videos over the years for Canada's largest software company, Cognos -- based in Ottawa. Just went to Chicago to interview a rep from one of their biggest customers, IBM. It's all part of series of videos that will be shown as part of their annual, 30 city road show, including a high octane "meeting opener".

Raymond James

Just completed visits to Victoria, Vancouver and Calgary... shooting for leading financial company, Raymond James. In a few weeks we'll complete the project with a three day shoot in Toronto. Shooting on HDV, funky modules will be put together for their conference in Florida in October.
